Fenix LR50R 4 x Luminus SST70 LED 12000 Lumens Multifunctional Rechargeable Search Light

The brightest light I’ve ever had. This light isn’t cheap. I’m a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I wanted to upgrade my flashlight collection and I wanted something that would outshine what I had in my inventory. I can say that the Fenix LR50R outshines anything that I’ve ever seen much less owned. I love to impress people with it when I turn it on during a dark night. The responses are always WOW!!!

Hello, God? It’s me, J. I know you can see me, cuz I can…. See… Well, I can light up my whole yard with this thing. My gate is 300′ from the house, if I want to take a peek at whoever is there, I can make it daylight.

I’ve been collecting flashlights a long time and have many top brands. Of all those, Fenix is my favorite brand. Their reliability and their durability are the best of any flashlight I’ve ever used. And when I say used, I mean used in an industrial setting, day in and day out. These are very well engineered flashlights. The buttons are always intuitive and easy to learn. They don’t get too hot when you use them, even on higher settings. Specifically on the LR50R, I really like the size. It fits my hand perfectly. It’s not too heavy and even has a strap, if you need it. The brightness levels cycle from the humble 50 lumens all the way up to a retina scorching 12,000 lumens. I generally use it on the 350 lumen setting(low), which is great for most tasks. It will remember which setting you leave it on after you turn it off. Turning the Turbo off and on is a one click process and doesn’t affect your regular brightness setting. I like that feature. I have never had a flashlight with the auto dimming feature, but as flashlights get brighter and hotter, that seems like a smart thing to do. My only real complaint was that the instructions are written so tiny, that I could not even read them with a magnifying glass. I had to go online and find an instruction manual and make it big enough to read. Not a big deal, but everything should come with instructions that are in a normal, readable size. That little gripe aside, I am very pleased with this flashlight.

This light is everything I had hoped it would be. The user interface is designed extremely well, it is so simple to use and the quality is what I have come to expect from Fenix, having bought five lights from them already. I live across from a large meadow and this light lit it up bright as day and bounced off the trees on the other side. Scared the hell out of all the deer. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

I have somewhere around 10 Fenix lights now, and for obvious reasons, this is my new favorite. The output is incredible! In a future addition, I’d love to see the ability to select lower modes instead of being forced to continually select higher modes until you get back to ‘Eco’. Getting from Low to Eco requires you to go past the blinding Turbo mode first. Still, unquestionably one of the best lights money can buy!
