Lumintop EDC05 800 Lumens 14500 EDC Pocket Flashlight

Ok, so I don't know a lot about flashlights, but I do know that every time you buy one that fits on a key ring, they really suck. So I started my research looking for all the characteristics that I wanted in a flashlight, and this light hit just about every check box. Things I wanted: Magnetic base ✔ Waterproof ✔ Rechargeable Small ✔ Easy to use ✔ Bright ✔ Crenelated edge I was looking for a light that you could plug in and recharge via USB, but since I can use rechargeable batteries for this light, that was acceptable to me. My other want was a crenelated edge for quick self defense, since I was going to keep this on my keyring, and unfortunately this one doesn't have one, but since it met all my other criteria I decided to give it a shot, and I'm absolutely glad I did. It is a great light! It has so many features that make this light such a useful tool to always have on hand. Between the strobe, S.O.S, and 4 levels of brightness, and the memory feature, plus the magnetic base, in the compact size. I'm completely impressed! The only thing I'd say is that I'm pretty certain the light isn't 800 lumens even with a 14500 battery, but it's still bright enough for my needs. Completely satisfied! Oh! I keep this on my keychain, and I have a 10 month old that plays with my keys a lot, and has literally slammed this light around on the floor and tables, etc, and I've had 0 issues!

There are certain elements that are essential when picking up a small everyday flashlight. I look at form factor, ease of use, consistent output, and battery type. This checks all the boxes. You've got a deep carry clip to sit low in the pocket, a magnetic tailbase to free your hands in case you need to shine light while working on a car, etc., multiple light modes and strobe/SOS/beacon, and it not only takes a rechargeable 14500 battery, but in a pinch, you can throw in an AA battery and keep the light shining. Granted, to get max ouput (800 lumens) you need the 14500 battery. It doesn't bring a battery, but for the price, and for the fact that they clearly do not show a battery is included in any of the advertisement, I can't dock that. This is truly a great light and its light enough to keep in your pocket without feeling weighed down. Great mix of flood and throw, but more on the flood side, which is great since it helps illuminate the immediate area better. PS - if you want a true color representation of what you are illuminating, get the NW (Neutral White). If you don't care, like me, and don't mind a more blueish white tint, the CW (Cool White) option is excellent. I normally crried other lights with CW so this transition was easy peasy. Get it, and get a good 14500 battery/charger. Worth it!

Just received my EDC05. I really like everything about it spent a lot of time researching this torch before I decided to get it and I’m very satified with it.

So far so good. I like it. Its got a good weight to it and it feels solidly put together. It isn't heavy but it isn't super light either. I like the placement of the on off button.
