Lumintop EDC18 2800 Lumens EDC Flashlight

I love the design, just like their Tool AA flashlight. But like the AA 2.0, this flashlight has an always-on glowing light on the side that you cannot disable. Designed in theory to help you find the flashlight in the dark, it instead saps your battery power so the flashlight is already dead by the time you need it. If you want a flashlight to set on your nightstand where you can clearly see the glow and don't mind recharging it continually, then this will work fine. If, like most of us, you want to put the light in your nightstand, or kitchen drawer, or glove box and have it ready and waiting when needed, this is not the best choice Also, I should point out that the specs do not indicate which LED is used. They say it might be a Cree XP-L, or might be one of two other varieties. I might point out that if you like this light, you might be better off with their FW3A instead. No always-on light, and the button on the end is easier to find and depress. Since this light requires a lot of fast clicking to access different functions, the stiff button can be problematic.

I got the Lumintop EDC18 and love it! You think its bright until you double click the button and hit turbo and the brightness is so crazy bright! When in turbo mode, it doesn't heat up really fast like other similar lights that I have. I also like that there isn't a high, medium or low. You just hold the button down and the brightness ramps up or down so you can get the exact amount of light that you want. I also took the pocket clip and reversed it around with the button facing down. I then clipped it to the brim of my hat and it held great making it possible to use as a head lamp too. I am very happy with my new light!

I have a lot of flashlights, but this flashlight is the most versatile of all flashlights! The light output, manufacturing quality and sheer quantity of features make it an amazing flashlight. The illuminated button makes it easy to find at night without being too bright. The lamp is durable, very suitable and smooth. Buying this flashlight, you won't regret it!
