Lumintop FW1A 1200 Lumens 370 Meters EDC Flashlight

I purchased the Lumintop FW1A for EDC as well as for usage in situations like power outages/emergencies etc. I'm a bit of a Lumintop fan, already owning the Tool AAA, Tool AA, and EDC05 lights. What attracted me to the FW1A was it's clean, elegant design, solid build quality and and the fact that it can be customized both physically by changing out accessory parts as well as through the firmware user interface. The Anduril firmware UI is both flexible and powerful. Some people say Anduril is overly complicated but the UI quickly becomes second nature with a little use. There are plenty of helpful Youtube videos about using Anduril. Lumintop makes a number of flashlight models in the same body design such as the FW3A, FW4A, FW1A etc. The single emitter FW1A is a "thrower" type design, producing a beam with an intense hot spot surrounded by an evenly distributed and very usable spill light with a 1200 lumen max output. Even though it has nowhere near the output power of the 2800 lumen, three emitter FW3A, it can "throw" just as far and maintain it's max output longer without overheating. Different horses for different courses. The FW1A can be had with various "temperature" emitters. I chose the Luminus SST20 4000K emitter version which produces a yellowish light that is supposed to show the color of things in a more natural way. This emitter is, however, less powerful, output wise, than the neutral white CREE 5000K or cool white CREE 6500K versions. Reliability is the most important quality in any flashlight. So far, so good! I've been using the FW1A every day for about a month now without any issues or malfunctions. I'm not surprised because all my other Lumintops are reliable as well. The FW1A is much more than just a basic flashlight. The Anduril UI allows you to customize it the way you like, as well as providing various modes and strobes such as battery check, sunset, beacon, temp. check, lightning storm, candle, bike flasher, party, and tactical strobe. It has, by far, become my favorite flashlight because it is not only useful, but fun to use as well...

At first I was reluctant getting a FW1A flashlight, as I already had the shorter sister, the FW3A. However I ordered it and I am not sorry! It has a great beam, similar functions to the FW3A, and is only a bit longer, Using it with the 18500 tube or even with the 18350 is great , it become a relatively good pocket thrower (although a SMO reflector would be better for that). Power, quality, versatility in your hand with this flashlight! I will get a deep carry pocket clip as it will turn the flashlight even better for carrying in a pocket!
