Nitecore BR35 2 x XM-L2 LED 1800 Lumens USB Rechargeable Dual Beam Bike Light

I have had several rechargeable lights over the years with serially decreasing remote battery sizes. This light has an integral battery and is rather small for what it provides. On high the light is quite intense and would likely be at least annoying to an oncoming driver or cyclist. I expect to keep mine on low which seems quite sufficient if your night vision is not disrupted by other vehicles’ lights. You have three modes of operation when the light is on: City, Road, Trail. Each makes use of the distant and near beam selection behavior. There can be cycled through when the light is turned on. Also the light intensity is selectable at four levels. The light can be turned on, recalling your last settings, and the lighting pattern for the three modes cycled through using the on/off button. There is also a remote on/off button that functions the same way. For recumbent riders you can extend the reach of the remote switch by using a micro USB male to female extension. You can find those on the Internet. That setup is unique for recumbent riders since you can mount the light out from and still have reasonable control if it. Obviously using the brightest lights use up the battery more quickly. Dual range on low (using both lights) lasts 8 hours, short range alone on high 5 hrs 45 min, and high alone is the same. Both together on high is 2 hrs 30 min. There is an even brighter “Turbo” mode using either one at or both lights together for a total of 1,800 lumens Frankly I can’t see the utility of it beyond bragging points. All taken together to me this is the best of the bright bike lights on the market with plenty of user selectability.

What a great product, Its very very tough as I can testify from a couple of big offs on the bike, shows how much charge and quite accurate with its timescale. different modes dependent on traffic. I tend to use on trial mode and simply switch the top light on and off if cars are coming (semi rural roads)

Wow! This has got to be the brightest bicycle headlight ever or one of the few.

This light is extremely sturdy and won’t move at all while riding rough terrain. I’m overall very happy with the light.
