    Fit and finish OK. Build quality so-so:”aircraft grade aluminum”-uhmm. It’s got a big box store feel to it. I don’t normally like battery crusher type flashlights, but this does have a tail switch and along with the twist head, it makes for a more secure pocket arraignment in that the light is less likely to come on in pocket carry. Two levels of brightness, don’t feel that necessary on a UV light. Little annoying. Lighted tail switch…cool, but it’s just wasting battery, but you can twist the head to turn it completely off. Dog ears around tail switch are a nice touch. The big plus here: the built in visible light filter. This is what sets this light apart. Huge difference with that filter! I tried Olights version of a AA UV light…no filter. Sad. If this had the build quality of an Olight, it’d be a no brainer. As is, it’s a great UV light with so so quality.

    The Lumintop Tool (both AAA and AA) are some of the best general-use lights out there. I have three AA and two AAA. When I saw that they made a UV light, I thought I'd give that a try, too. I have bought UV flashlights before, and I haven't been impressed. Most are way too purple and have a lot of beam artifacts. I already had a Lumintop AAA UV light, which is a much better "blue light" UV light (365nm wavelength). This light is just as good, but it uses a rechargeable Li-ion cell, like my other Tool AA lights. I have been entertaining my nieces and nephew with "treasure hunts" for years. Now, I am able to throw hidden UV messages into the mix. I have a trip coming up, and I'm considering taking the light with me to check out the cleanliness of the rental place, but I'm not sure if I really want to know...

    Just received my Tool aa Uv the other day and I'm loving it. Lumintop makes great quality lights and this little UV is a gem. Having 2 levels of light is handy when you don't need max brightness. This will be a great edition to my collection.
